Hulkenback

Nico Hulkenberg! He bossed it yesterday, managing to secure P8 for Racing Point F1 Team during the Formula 1 Eifel GP, after starting P20. His incredible performance is influenced by multiple factors. I would be remiss if I didn't mention skill. There is no way you can pull off going from coffee in Cologne at 11 AM to qualifying on the Nürburgring at 3 PM if you aren't a highly skilled and talented driver.

But his performance also showed great flexibility. Let’s not forget the car has evolved a lot since he last drove it in Silverstone, and he had zero time to get a feel for these changes before he had to go out on track for qualifying.

Additionally, Nico took ownership of the situation, being realistic after coming in last during qualifying but vowing to make the most of it during the race. And he definitely did! He showed great courage. In general, basically getting into a rocket ship on wheels with zero preparation, but also in some solid overtakes throughout the race.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Nico out on track again, and sincerely hope Hulkenback is here to Hulkenstay.
