Client Overview
A leading organisation recognised for its inclusive culture engaged Brain Matters to optimise leadership behaviours and team dynamics. While already a frontrunner in inclusion compared to similar organisations, the client sought insight into barriers that could limit high performance. We were tasked with making the invisible, visible.
Our Approach
Brain Matters conducted a qualitative culture analysis. Based on available quantitative data relating to engagement, sick leave, attrition, and turnover, we developed a comprehensive structured interview. Our team conducted confidential 1:1 interviews with a representative sample of employees from all areas of the business. Results, conclusions, and recommendations were compiled in a report, which was presented to the Senior Leadership Team.
Impact
- Unconscious biases in decision-making, particularly related to recruitment and promotions.
- Limited openness in conversations around sensitive topics, which constrained psychological safety and constructive dialogue across teams.
- The programme was co-created with the client to ensure alignment with organisational priorities and leadership expectations.
- It focused on equipping leaders to demonstrate commitment to inclusive behaviours and enabling a top-down cascade of desired actions.
